THE SIMS Booktag!

I’m so absent. I know. The end of the school year has really had me in the slumps. I’ve been trying not to overstress. I haven’t been feeling well. Oh! And I got a job! Yay me ^.^

I am currently planning on reading a lot more for reviews once school ends (which is tomorrow). Just a good time to relax and enjoy reading while not having to stress over everything else.

I ALSO WANTED TO SAY SOMETHING THAT IS COMING UP AND IMSOEXCITEDBUTYOUGUYSMAYHATEMEBYTHEENDOFIT… *deep breath* There is a possible chance I’ll be going to Universal Studios with a friend to go see the Harry Potter attraction. I’m so excited about it, because I actually do appreciate Harry Potter. But I suck. And you know why? I have never gotten past book three of Harry Potter.

*thunder booms, lightning strikes, the whole world erupts into pure chaos*

NOW HOLD IT ONE TINY SECOND. The reason why I haven’t finished the series is because I never got to get my hands on the next book. I absolutely ADORED the books I did read. It’s the fact that I always have something else on my TBR list, and they are so large and intimidating that I just never think to pick it up.

With that being said, I will see about taking pictures and posting them here! I honestly can’t wait; hopefully going will shine a new light on that Harry Potter world I am so late to.

On to the tag!

Moving on! I saw this tag and had to do it! I saw it on Reading with Rendz. Though I wasn’t tagged, I still really want to do it! ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out their blog! They’re one of my favorites.

The Original Sims… Best Author Debut?ย

There are so many that I really enjoyed. The one that really stuck out to me was Divergent by Veronica Roth. This first book was just so enhancing and brilliant for me. While the other two books didn’t quite catch the first book, I still love the series due to the first book.Kindle

The Grim Reaper… Saddest Character Death?

I’m not going to say any names. There are SO MANY CHARACTER DEATHS that have left me in tears. Infernal Devices for one…

But for the saddest, I’m going with All the Bright Places. Just the storyline and the emotions through the words, it really led up to that death so it tore you apart even more. And me not understanding what I was in for, I honestly thought everything would be okay in the end… Boy, I was so wrong.

Sims getting stuck… A character that just got in the way?

I DO NOT agree with this one bit, but I will tell you the character my friend COMPLETELY despises because of how useless and in the way he is (in which I do NOT agree…. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ )

Simon Lewis from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. The amount of times he has died and came back, it blows her mind. It’s like she cheers that he has finally died, but then in the next chapter he pops up out of nowhere.

Clare
I love Simon. ย (Sizzy <3) I love him to death. I don’t find him the way. But my friend would go on a very long rant right now about him if she was her- I actually have a text from her:

Ok he always got in the way of Clary and Jae and while doing that he always got caught in something dangerous, RIGHT WHEN SOMETHING GOOD WAS ABOUT THE HAPPEN BETWEEN CLARY AND JACE!!!! Then they had to stop and save his butt from dying… and let’s not forget he was dating two girls at the same time!! And he still can’t get over clary. LIKE HELLO…. SHE DOESNT WANT U! And yeah there’s more but my thumbs are tired.”

Oh my goodness, I have to love her.

Simlish… A book with amazing writing.

(Not going to say Miss Peregrine’s… Not going to say it because I talk a lot about it already….)

The Heart of Stone by Ben Galley! I loved this book because of the writing style. It was so beautiful. If there is one thing I appreciate the most in a story is the way it is written. I have tried reading books that were telling the story like; “I woke up. I went to the sink and looked at myself. When I got to school, I sat beside my best friend and gossiped until class started.” *gags*

But The Heart of Stone does not do this. It wonderfully portrays the story of a golem and his life living under the control of humans. I really recommend you go look at it along with his other books.

Expansion Pack… A series where the books keep on getting better.

I’m going to say it… Every Cassandra Clare book out there. Every book that she writes on the Shadowhunter world is just better than the last. I think my favorite book from her so far is Lady Midnight.

Cheats… Book that was entirely too unrealistic

Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick. While I loved this book, it was kind of unsettling that she fell in love with the person who captured her… I know, I know. He was doing it to get back from the murderer who killed his sister and all of that – he wasn’t really a bad guy. But even so, I would not start kissing the fool who tied me up the day before.
But that’s just my opinion.

Needs Fulfillment… A character who made all the wrong decisions.

Cass
America from The Selection Series. I loved this series, too. I adored it to the bottom of my heart, but her decisions. Herย decisions.ย She had no idea what she was doing, and I’m over here flipping tables because she obviously can’t keep seeing one dude when she’s with another. “I don’t know what to do… but I’ll keep seeing him until I figure it out.”

Error Code 12… a series that started off great, but then went downhill.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. The first book was amazing. Fell in love with everyone in it. But then I read Infinite Sea… And I got a little confused. I didn’t like Ringer all that much, and just my luck she was half of the book. It seemed all about her and most of time she didn’t make sense. I left that book not even knowing what just happened. The Last Star was a little bit better, but I still was left perplexed at the what had happened.Yancey

ย

The Sims Vortex… A book/series that completely engrossed you.

Okay, I’m doing it.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan.

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare.

The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.

Reboot by Amy Tintera.

Want more? Because I can give you more.

  1. Before reading the tag, I just wanna say: congrats on getting a job! Hopefully that means more books to buy? Lucky duck.

I went to the Florida HP world last December: http://calandcharnyc.blogspot.com.au/2016/12/day-15.html (this was a travel blog I had, don’t feel pressured to read– just if you want to know the impression from 2 girls who also haven’t completed the series). HUGE tip: don’t have luggage. For real. Like have pockets. Or else either your friend or you are going to have to wait out on the rides and attractions, especially in the HP world– they’re super strict. OR you’re going to have to pay for lockers, which are usually overcrowded. My friend was a bigger rollercoaster junkie, so I sat out for 3 hours while she went on 2 rides… It wasn’t fun. Even when you’re immersed in such a wonderland!
